Washington Post; Is It Dummying Down?

Author: Lance Winslow

It used to be that every morning all the politicians and bureaucrats picked up the Washington Post to see what it said and lately many people feel it is simply irrelevant and they do not even sell out at Starbucks anymore. Why is this?

The Washington Post has subscriptions up or so they say and yet the material really is not worth reading. Many articles have a liberal bias to skew and I suppose that is well and good for people on the Maryland side, or should I say Merry Land.

Nevertheless the Washington Post used to be a well-respected newspaper and now they seem to be well writing at in eighth grade level and not really telling the people much more than is on the nightly news. As a matter of fact it seems to be a little bit of regurgitated information and leaning to the irrelevant side.

It is amazing that the Washington Post is still respected with this eighth grade reading level because this is in the heart of our nation and you would hope that the people running the country would be smarter than that and be more interested in reading more meaningful material.

Are the people in Washington, DC dummying down or is it the Washington Post. It is often said that the news media and newspapers are only a reflection of the overall society or are they causing it? Consider this in 2006.
