Read this Article if You are Afraid of Flying

Author: Lance Winslow

So many people are afraid to fly. Some believe this is due to the fear of falling. This fear is a real innate human fear - in fact when little babies are born there are really no noticeable innate tendencies that they know. When baby horses are born they instinctively know to get up and run. Dolphin babies start swimming with in minutes. Human babies as soon as they can see they are afraid of heights. It has been documented that if you put a baby on a glass table they are scared, so being afraid to fall is innate.

So flying in a small airplane and being afraid to fly are definitely real human fears, but they need not be and they are completely conquerable. If you are afraid of flying, they there are many ways to get over this. Simply go take a free flying course out at your local airport. Most have introductory flights for around $100.00 and they are really easy on first timers. Be sure to tell them of your fears of flying and to be very careful your first time up.

Once you are airborne and talking to the flight instructor and understand a little more about how flying and aircraft work you will see that flying is really nothing to be afraid of in fact it is very exhilarating to fly. Sometimes people get hooked on only one flight and sign up for flying lessons thus they turn their fears into fun and a new skill. As a pilot myself it is often hard to believe that anyone would be afraid to fly, until you think about the little babies and their fears of falling and then you understand it is perfectly natural to be afraid. But it is way more fun to conquer that fear than to leave your feet on the ground and miss the beautiful view. Think on this; clear prop!
