Confidence Approaching Women: Know Your Game!

Author: CG Taylor

Imagine two men of equal attractiveness, equal levels of success and equal income. The only difference between them is their ability with women. The first guy is able to get a date with one of every two girls he approaches, Mr. 50 Percent. The second guy is able to get a date with one of every ten girls he approaches, Mr. 10 Percent.

Which guy would you rather be?

But wait. Before you answer. What if Mr. 50 Percent has low confidence and only approaches two women a year. And what if Mr. 10 Percent has ultra-confidence and approaches ten women a week.

Now which guy would you rather be?

It's just like in basketball. Would you rather be the guy who shoots 100%, but only shoots one shot per game, The Sub. Or the guy who scores 25 points but shoots only 42%, The Shooter?

With women, as with sports, the difference between The Sub and The Shooter is not in ability but in mindset. Now let's talk about the mindset of The Sub versus that of The Shooter.

The Sub gets the ball and hesitates, thinking, "What should I do? Should I pass? Should I dribble? Should I...shoot?" And by this time, he is covered. He has lost the chance.

The Shooter gets the ball and his mind instantly tells him *shoot*. Before he even looks at the basket. Only if he sees that he is covered or out of range will he pass on the shot.

The same mindset applies to approaching women. The Subs of the world will see a beautiful woman and hesitate, "Should I talk? What should I say? What if she laughs?" And by then, the shot is lost.

For The Shooter, his mind instantly tells him *GO!*

Now, how do you build the mindset of The Shooter?

You've got to know your game before you can play the game. In basketball, you can't build confidence and ability by playing center one day and guard the next.

The same with women, you can't build confidence by hitting an upscale dance club one night and a rodeo bar the next. That is like shooting airballs from mid-court, hoping the ball goes in.

But many guys try this haphazard approach. And soon give up.

If you want the mindset of The Shooter, you first have to develop a shot. One shot. Your shot. Find that one spot that you can build your game from. Build your confidence by mastering one shot.

If you like coffee shops, start there. Only go after girls that are sitting alone in a coffee shop. That is your shot. That is your game. If you see four girls studying together - PASS. That is not your game, yet. First, learn to play your game. Learn to make the easy shots.

If you like bars, start there. Only go after sets of one or two girls. If you see a group of three girls or a mix of guys and girls - PASS. That is not your game, yet. First, learn to play your game. Learn to make the easy shots.

You can build quite a career off of just one shot. As long as you have confidence. As long as you have The Shooter's mindset. And once you have confidence in one shot, you can always add another. And another.

The Shooter plays his game. He knows his shot and takes it when its open.

Know your shot. Play your game. Confidence and success will follow.
