Bonus abusers at online casinos and poker rooms have many different names such as bonus hunters, scalpers,
and most commonly bonus whores. In poker bonus whoring is only interesting for players who are below or just about
break even players. With casino bonuses however it is a completely different story.
The odds of most casino games are
such that they are a losing proposition for the player in the long run. Most casino games have a house edge between 2.5%
and 5%. Slot games usually have a house edge of around 5% this means the payout percentage reported on the casino websites
will state 95%. A payout percentage of 95% means that on every spin or hand you play, you have a 95% chance of winning.
Most online casinos have very restrictive bonus policies that require you to wager your bonus many times on slots so that your chances of keeping most of your bonus money are pretty low. However, a select few online casinos offer quite

With the slots payout of 95% you would keep $100 of a $300 bonus. The casino requires you to wager and make 2000 bets at $1 (2000 * $0.05 computes the expected value/your loss). If you play blackjack with a payout of 99.5% then your expected value is $10 on 2000 spins or hands which means you would only lose $10 of your $300 bonus. This last example illustrates how you can keep most of the casino bonuses that permit blackjack wagering.
